In our current recession anything and everything is being done to save money through companies. If money is trying to be saved then why hire two people for a job that only takes one employee. A lot of the completion in our economy today as far as job is the younger generation willing to work for less, but also with less experience against the older, wiser, and more experienced. Where some companies have put themselves in a bit of a crunch is by hiring those from the younger generation with less experience and then needing more than one to complete the tasks that one older employee could take on.
A huge benefit of hiring older workers is the maturity level and the mindset they have of knowing that in order to have things you have to work. This concept is more difficult for younger workers to comprehend. Work is not everything to someone that doesn’t want to really work.
