Yesterday’s letter of the day was “D” for Dudley Do Right’s Ripsaw Falls. If you missed it, you can go back and read it here. Today’s we’re focusing on the letter “E”, for Emeril’s Orlando.
Emeril Lagasse, who is commonly known for “BAM” videos on websites such as YouTube, is the foundation of Emeril’s at Citywalk. Afterall, it is named after him. The restaurant is located inside of Citywalk at Universal Orlando nearest Islands of Adventure, and because of that, visiting the restaurant during the day can land you a pretty heafty parking fee. However, after 6pm, the parking fee for Citywalk drops down to $3, or you can park Valet for a little more (no more than $25), and not have as far of a walk.
Emeril’s is a restaurant you’ll want to wear something nice to and make reservations for in advance. In fact, it’s suggested that men don’t wear long sleeve shirts to the restaurant. Jeans and the t-shirt you picked up at one of the parks is not acceptable dress wear. Casual business attire is suggested. Walk-ins are welcome, however, reservations are highly suggested. Reservations can be made by calling (407)224-2424.
Breakfast is served from 11:30am-3pm, and dinner begins daily at 5pm. Lunch is serverd right in the middle!
Dinner at Emeril’s can be quiet expensive with meals ranging from $29 to $45. Depending on which meal you order, it could be a lot cheaper than eating at Disney’s California Grill. Emeril’s offers items such as chicken, duck, rib eye, shrimp, and several other choices. They have a wide variety of meats, so couples and families can all choose to their likings.
While dinner can get costly very quickly, lunch is a much cheaper option with dishes ranging from $9 to $19. Eating lunch can save quite a bit if you have a Preferred/Premier Pass, which offers free parking, or if you’re dropped off. If you’re not a pass holder and you choose to park, you can still save quite a bit. Ordering two meals at $19 and paying the $15 parking fee is cheaper than the least expensive dinner meals with a $3 parking fee. You’re spending just a few dollars less, but there isn’t a huge difference.
There is also another Emeril’s restaurant located on Universal’s property known as Emeril’s Tchoup Chop that I will touch on a bit later. There’s plenty to do at Citywalk once you’re done dining at Emeril’s if you plan on sticking around for a while. You can see a movie, sing Karaoke at the Rising Star, and watch dueling Piano Players at Pat O’Beins. If you’re visiting more than one club, why not get a free party pass and save some money?
