8 P.M. (WPIX CW) ONE TREE HILL Season 8 begins with Clay (Robert Buckley) and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) trying to stay alive after being shot by Katie (Amanda Schull). Meanwhile, Nathan (James Lafferty) heads to training camp with the announcement by Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) that she’s pregnant weighing heavily on his mind. And Brook (Sophia Bush) and Julian (Austin Nichols) come back from Utah with big news: they’re engaged. In the second-season premiere of “Life Unexpected,” at 9, Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Ryan (Kerr Smith) return from their honeymoon to find changes at work. Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) sidles up to a new bartender. And Lux (Britt Robertson) meets a new guy just as she and Bug (Rafi Gavron) turn a corner in their relationship.
9 P.M. (USA) COVERT AFFAIRS In this two-hour season finale, Annie (Piper Perabo) goes undercover to lure a ring of smugglers in London before joining her ex, Ben (Eion Bailey), on a recruiting mission in Sri Lanka.
9 P.M. (Bravo) FLIPPING OUT It’s a choice of quality versus quantity when Jeff finds the demands of his clients getting to be too much to endure, leaving Jenni to contend with his fits of fury. In “The Rachel Zoe Project,” at 10, Rachel and Rodger have an altercation during the taping of an online show featuring a Rachel impersonator, leading Rodger to confide in Brad about his marriage. Later Rachel styles the actress and model Beau Garrett and sends Brad to work on an advertisement with Molly Sims.
10 P.M. (Spike TV) 1000 WAYS TO DIE Spike TV continues its foray into gruesome endings with back-to-back episodes that parse the demises of a Russian gangster, a nudist and a survivalist, as well as an act of self-liposuction gone wrong.
10 P.M. (WCBS) FASHION’S NIGHT OUT 2010 Neil Patrick Harris goes behind the scenes of the worldwide fashion celebration last Friday as well as the runway show attended by more than 150 models at Lincoln Center, the new home of New York Fashion Week.
