Last week on Days, Sami prepared to tell Rafe the truth about EJ’s shooting. Arianna and Gabi stopped by the apartment with a housewarming gift, interrupting Sami. After noticing it wasn’t a good time for a visit, Arianna and Gabi got ready to leave. Gabi noticed Rafe’s computer was open and realized Sami and Rafe planned to get married at the Green Mountain Lodge. Arianna wondered what it would do to EJ. Rafe said that he didn’t care. Arianna said that whoever shot EJ needed to pay. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Roman questioned EJ about the night of the shooting. EJ admitted he remembered the wedding but that after that, things got hazy. As Roman questioned EJ, his monitors went off. Lexi reminded Roman that EJ was the victim and to take it easy on him. Roman asked if EJ could make his monitors go off on purpose. When Stefano told EJ what Roman had asked, EJ said maybe Roman wasn’t as stupid as he’d thought.
Rafe told Sami not to tell him who shot EJ until after they were married because then he couldn’t be forced to testify against her if he knew anything incriminating. Sami agreed. Lexi stopped by to talk to Sami about EJ’s condition. When Lexi said that EJ had asked to see her and the kids, Sami admitted she didn’t know how long she could keep pretending to be married to him. Lexi asked her to keep trying for the kids’ sake, but Sami said it made her stomach turn. Sami went to the hospital to see EJ. EJ said he’d done a lot of thinking and wanted to apologize to Sami for everything he’d done to her and for threatening to take Johnny away at Grace’s funeral. Sami said she wished he’d said those things sooner and left to be with the kids. “Enjoy them while you can,” EJ said when Sami left. EJ told Stefano that he planned to use Arianna to figure out if Will or Sami had shot him. Arianna stopped by the visit and EJ pretended to be angry at Stefano because he’d said Will or Sami had shot him. He asked Arianna to find out the truth.
After making out in the mausoleum, Brady and Nicole went to Brady’s bedroom in the mansion and slept together. Nicole asked if it was good for him and if he was glad they’d had sex. Brady said he missed being with Nicole. In the morning, Brady went to the mausoleum to receive Isabella’s body. Nicole picked up the Bluetooth to talk to Vivian, who asked if she called the police yet. Nicole said Vivian would be let out of the sarcophagus but wasn’t sure about the timing. Vivian asked Nicole to call 911, accusing her of being seduced by Brady to buy her silence. When Vivian called Nicole a washed up porn star, Nicole said Vivian was exactly where she deserved to be.
As Brady stood in the mausoleum talking to his mother’s coffin, Justin caught him and asked who the coffin belonged to. Brady admitted it was Isabella’s and that there had been a delay with moving the body. Justin noticed Brady was upset and pushed him to tell him why. Brady denied anything was wrong but wouldn’t let Justin handle moving the coffin for him. Justin demanded to know what was going on, asking Brady if he was on drugs again. Nicole showed up and tried to cover for Brady by claiming she was doing a story on Isabella for work. Justin saw right through Nicole’s story and demanded to know the truth. Brady backed Nicole’s story up and Justin stormed out of the mausoleum. After helping Brady move Isabella’s body back where it belonged, Nicole told Brady she’d talked to Vivian and had a change of heart. Brady told Nicole that he’d changed and wasn’t the doormat she used to walk all over. Nicole said she’d always be there to back Brady up. Brady kissed her.
Vivian continued to beg and plead for her life from inside the sarcophagus. She quickly realized that Gus had the other remote control and may have been able to hear her. Gus brought a woman back to his hotel room who pointed at the pictures of Vivian and asked if she was Gus’s grandmother. Gus said that the woman was his “Madame” and that they’d had a falling out but he missed her greatly. The woman said it sounded like Gus was in love with the “bag of bones.” Gus got angry, calling Vivian a passionate woman, The woman got creeped out and left. Gus accused Vivian of ruining something else for him. Vivian called out for Gus, who thought he was hearing things. When he realized Vivian’s voice was coming from the remote, he picked it up. Vivian explained that Brady had locked her in the sarcophagus and how miserable she was. Gus reminded her that she had the same plan for Maggie Horton and that she’d made her bed and would have to lie in it.

When Ciara went to show Caroline, Bo offered Kayla a place to stay while she was in town. Kayla said she didn’t want to be at the house with Carly there. Bo reminded Kayla that he loved Carly, but Kayla said she didn’t trust her. Kayla went to visit Hope in jail and told her that she would always support her. Hope admitted that she’d signed divorce papers and sent Justin to deliver them. She wanted Bo to have his freedom. Kayla said that she’d never believe that Bo and Hope weren’t meant to be together. Meanwhile, Justin presented the divorce papers to a stunned Bo.
As Chloe got ready for her wedding to Daniel, Nicole stopped by. Chloe wasn’t going to let her in, but Nicole begged her to hear her out. Nicole apologized for her behavior, admitting that she was jealous of Chloe’s happiness… but that things had changed and she wasn’t jealous anymore. Reluctantly, Chloe agreed to let Nicole back into the wedding but made her promise never to bring up Chloe’s cheating. Nicole said that the truth always had a way of coming out but swore that nobody would ever hear it from her.
At the hospital, Daniel asked Nathan why he didn’t like Chloe. Nathan said it was because she hurt his cousin Lucas. Daniel said that was in the past and that he had pursued Chloe while she was married to Lucas. Stephanie walked up and noticed Daniel seemed tense as he walked away. Stephanie asked Nathan what it was he had against Chloe. Nathan said it was only fair that he tell Stephanie but made her swear not to tell anyone. Nathan admitted that he’d recently found out that Chloe had cheated on Daniel. As Nathan went into detail, Melanie stood outside the room and overheard.
At Maggie’s house, Melanie agonized over what to do about what she’d heard. Maggie came home and instantly noticed something was wrong. Melanie said she’d learned something about a patient that could hurt the patient’s husband a great deal. She asked Maggie what to do. Maggie said that the cost of being wrong would be high and advised Melanie to make sure she had heard correctly before she interfered with someone else’s life. Melanie agreed and went to Nathan and Stephanie’s apartment to talk to Nathan. Nathan answered the door and Melanie asked Nathan if they were friends and if he’d ever do anything to hurt her. Confused, Nathan reassured Melanie that he never would. Melanie called him a liar and confronted him. Nathan admitted Chloe had cheated on Daniel but said he thought it was best that he stayed out of it. Melanie started to cry and said she thought she meant something to Nathan. Stephanie came home and asked why Melanie was there. Melanie said that as evil as Stephanie usually was, she deserved better than Nathan.
Melanie went to Chloe and Daniel’s apartment. Chloe greeted her warmly at the door, but Melanie slapped her and confronted her about cheating on her father. At first, Chloe denied it, cautioning Melanie against making her father have to choose between them. Chloe said that Daniel was the love of her life. Melanie asked her to prove she hadn’t cheated, but Chloe said that would be impossible. Melanie remembered the tension between Father Matt and Chloe and that Father Matt had refused to perform the ceremony. Melanie started to call Father Matt, but Chloe stopped her. Chloe started to cry and told Melanie she was sorry.
Melanie asked how Chloe could cheat when she was loved by a man like Daniel. Chloe tried to explain that Vivian had tricked Chloe into thinking that Daniel and Carly were having an affair and had been so heartbroken that she’d slept with someone else. Melanie asked who Chloe had slept with. Chloe said it wasn’t important, but Melanie said Daniel would want to know. Chloe begged Melanie not to tell her father. Melanie asked if Chloe’s baby was Daniel’s and Chloe assured her that she had a DNA test done. When Melanie asked to see the test results, Chloe said she didn’t have them on her but that someone else knew about it. Melanie started to storm out of the apartment, but Chloe called out, “It’s not just someone else who knows… it’s your mother!”
