There was no resting in the fourth quarter this time around for Amar’e Stoudemire.
The man known as STAT turned in another great pre season performance with 39 points and 11 rebounds as the New York Knicks defeated the New Jersey Nets 117-111 on Tuesday night.
The Knicks blew a 15 point third quarter lead in a matter of minutes, but were able to bounce back in the final quarter as Amar’e Stoudemire scored 10 of his 39 and played the enitre fourth quarter for the first time this pre season.
“I think we only have a few games left so we’re trying to get acclimated to how we’re going to play in the regular season,” Stoudemire said. “So I think my time’s going to be ramping up here in the next few games.”
After the game, Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni said that Amar’e will get the night off tomorrow night when New York will travel to Philadelphia to play the 76ers.
