In the halls just before and during intermission, After Party Chairs, Zen St. Clair, Sam Leichman and Tiffany & Co’s Giles Marsden were spotted. Angelique Griepp sauntered by in a vibrant yellow number. Willie Brown and Sonya Molodetskaya in complimentary black and white garb were overheard chatting about a recent SF Socialite restaurant review and Designer Karen Caldwell delighted in a dreamy peach design. One day Mrs. Caldwell will take home the Nobel Peace Prize for changing the world one smile at a time. Jennifer Raiser, back from a recent trip was also all smiles. She did not let a little desert sand keep her from missing the festivities.
An obvious nominee for best dressed was Elizabeth Ebbesen Touw and Patrons’ Dinner Chairwoman Lisa Grotts in attendance with her husband John Grotts. They rang in the good times with friends and fellow music lovers Rick and Karen Walker of Festival del Sole. Other gala committee stunners included Symphonix Dinner Chairmen, Maggie Hazelrig, Carol Morganstern and Fati Farmanfarmaian. Fellow Symphonix Dinner Chairmen, Kristen Harper, Epi Med Spa’s Jennifer Fick and Maria Barrios Ehmer were draped in emerald green.
The names of attendees are too long to mention. It’s one of a few nights when you can expect to see virtually all the tastemakers of San Francisco out in full force, another followed just days later. Anjelika Koulebakina was surprisingly calm before the storm. She enjoyed the Symphony’s Gala night before embarking on more of her own responsibilities for the Opera’s season kick off.
From coast to coast people were out in full force. Many gala attendees ended up in the Big Apple like the SF Socialite. Stay tuned to find out what and who was happening during Fashion Week as the SF Socialite takes on New York.
