John Ross Branch, age 26, of Cedartown, is facing charges in a vehicle accident that occurred on August 29, 2010 in the Antioch community. Branch is a Redmond EMS employee and volunteer firefighter for the Polk County Fire Department.
Three people were injured in the crash on Antioch Road that occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. Branch was the driver and owner of the vehicle. The passengers in the vehicle were Callie Hulsey, age 27, of Rockmart and Christina McAdams, age 22, also of Rockmart. There were no other vehicles involved.
All three occupants were injured in the crash and were transported to Redmond Regional Hospital. Branch was seriously injured in the accident and remained hospitalized for some time. Branch was not arrested at the scene because of the extent of his injuries requiring him to be hospitalized. Blood samples were taken from Branch and officials had to wait for the blood test to come back from the Georgia Crime Lab.
