Certified nursing assistant (CNA)—Torrance
Here’s a full-time position with Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in the 77-bed Transitional Care Center. This group cares for patients who require a short term regimen of less intensive nursing and therapy treatments following an acute hospitalization. The full-time CNA is a non-licensed health care employee who performs routine patient care duties including vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Requires current, valid California CNA certification, BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association and 1+ years of experience.
Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank is a 431-bed acute care facility providing healthcare to the San Fernando Valley for over 50 years. This is a full-time position with varied hours. This position registers patients upon arrival for either in patient or out patient service, which includes interviewing patient to secure current demographic information, preparing documents for signature, assigning rooms and/or directing patients to the appropriate area where services will be rendered. Required certification/registration BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association (certification by the American Red Cross-CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, this will be accepted until card expiration date). On the job or equivalent training in in-patient/out-patient facilities, familiarity with medical terminology, MOAB I required within 30 to 150 days of hire and 1+ years of experience.
Occupational therapist—Mission Hills
Nationally recognized for clinical performance and trauma care, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a 254-bed, level II trauma center. The full-time OT plans and implements specific treatment programs. Must demonstrate proficient clinical knowledge and skills in providing treatment programs and delivering care to assigned age specific patient populations (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics) and function as an interdisciplinary team member. Requires a B.S. in Occupational Therapy, state licensure by the CA Board of Occupational Therapy/Department of Consumer Affairs and 3+ years experience as an Occupational Therapist. Past work experience in a physical disabilities setting working with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Current valid BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association. Knowledge of clinical interventions/equipment necessary to meet needs of patient serviced and good communication skills. Lymphedema and oncology rehabilitation experience is preferred.
Marketing specialist/clinical liaison—San Pedro
Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center—San Pedro is a 259-bed nonprofit hospital that has served the Harbor and greater South Bay communities since 1925. The position is responsible for developing the business plan, marketing tactics and strategies, implementing action plans and conducting one-on-one meetings/education sessions. Requires 3+ years current clinical experience in in-patient or rehabilitation services. Current license in nursing or therapy-related field. Experience in building strong professional relationships. Must be able to perform all physical requirements of delegated tasks, organize and prioritize work, problem solve and complete assignments on time, establish and maintain courteous and cooperative working relationships, type and use a computer efficiently, work independently and with a team. Must have reliable personal transportation with current registration and insurance and a willingness to travel from one facility to another during the course of the day or week.
