About Chimani, LLC
Chimani, LLC, named for Chimanimani Mountains National Park in Zimbabwe, was founded in January 2010 by Kerry Gallivan. Inspired by the need for weather and topographic information on a rainy hike on Gorham Mountain in Acadia National Park, Gallivan launched the company to combine his love of the outdoors and technology.
Chimani’s Yosemite app was preceded by apps for Acadia National Park and Cape Cod National Seashore, also for iPhone and Droid. The company is planning the release of apps for Cuyahoga Valley, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grant Teton, and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks.
