Las Vegas equals vacation value – spa’s and activities
By Joseph Csencsits
Here we go again, Las Vegas spa’s and other entertainment. Once you’ve begun to take advantage of what the city has to offer you’ll see that it’s really is like no other city in the world. Turned on 24/7 Vegas continues to offer anything and everything that vacationers and business travelers are looking for. Let’s touch on spa’s, pools, and shopping this week.
There are a wide array of fabulous spa packages and offerings available all over town. There are world’s class spa’s at Caesar’s Palace (the incomparable Qua Spa), Wynn Resort, Bellagio, The Venetian, and the newly opened Aria, all of which are world class hotels and have world class facilities. These resorts are rated among the very best, not just in Vegas, and not just in the U.S., but, in the world. To this let me note that the Wynn Resort sets a very high standard, not just for their competition in Vegas but for every other hospitality facility in the world. You see Wynn is the only hotel resort destination in the world to receive all 3 top Hospitality Industry awards, the Mobil 5 Star, AAA 5 Diamond and Michelin 5 Red Pavilions awards. No one else has accomplished this feat. These spa’s are only the beginning. You’ll find great spa facilities at The Mirage, MGM Grand, and Mandalay Bay, and at locals casino’s like Green Valley Ranch, and The M Resort which opened early in 2009.
There’s also the pools. Now, if the beach is your thing there’s not much Vegas can do about that except provide you with some of the most luxurious and exciting poolscapes anywhere. Last year The Mirage celebrated its 20th birthday and the lush tropical landscape holds up after all these years. The Mirage may very well still be the premier poolspot in town. Some of the other great pools include Bellagio, Wynn, and the iconic Garden of the Gods at Caesar’s Palace. Mandalay Bay provides what may possibly be the best pool area for families with pools, a real beach at the wave pool. and a lazy river to while away in and on. There are also a number of pools around town that will let the general public in for a fee, notably Planet Hollywood, and several which open their doors for free such as the Palms. Ditch Fridays at The Palms brings in the local crowd free of charge and always promises a great friday party afternoon. Similar opportunities are available during the pool season months at The Hard Rock, Green Valley, and The M. Several other Harrah’s properties other than Planet Hollywood will also let the general public in for a fee as well.
Shopping. What else can be said about Vegas shopping other than Las Vegas is a shopper’s dream. Whatever you need, or want, is available in Vegas. New York, London, Paris, Beverly Hills, Rome, and Chicago have nothing over Vegas. There’s the iconic Forum Shops at Caesar’s, The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, and the brand new Crystals at CityCenter. There’s also Mandalay Place at Mandalay Bay, The Shoppes at The Palazzo, The District at Green Valley, along with The Esplanade at Wynn, the Esplanade at Encore and The Esplanade at Bellagio. Of course we have to include the Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas Premium Outlets, Town Square, Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, and The Las Vegas Outlet Center all offering top name designers and brands. You name it and it’s here, from Armani to Vuitton, and everything in between. Interested in Chanel, Dior, Versace, Cavalli, Tiffany, Lauren, Claiborne, Wang, Prada, Gucci, or anyone or anything else? It’s all here! There is no place else in the world that provides as much shopping that is available in Vegas. Las Vegas truly is the destination where you can shop ’til you drop!
And don’t forget if you want to try you luck I’m certain the gaming companies will be too happy to oblige. Gamble or don’t gamble, Las Vegas offers visitors the total vacation package that is certain to indulge all of your senses.
Until next time, travel safely.
