Today is Labor Day here in the US. Many members of the tea party movement will be reflecting on the fact that big labor in the US has declared itself an enemy of the movement. They will find nothing to celebrate about the well-funded thugs who do the dirty work for the Democrats all over the country.
Just because its in September doesn’t mean its any different to the socialist/communist day of celebration that is 1 May. And its not as if the big unions agree with any of the tea party core values. In fact it is easy to argue that they find all of them an anathema to their ideals.
First we have the Tea Party Tracker site that is sponsored by all the usual suspects to keep track of the movement.
“TeaPartyTracker.Org monitors racism and other forms of extremism within the Tea Party movement. We call on the Tea Party to repudiate extremists among their ranks and join in civil dialogue with all.”
Funny enough the site does not seem to care about all the gross acts of violence perpetuated on the tea party movement by left-wing thugs. A good example was when some SEIU thugs beat up a black man for not being a leftie. His crime in their minds was selling Gadsen flags that are so popular with the tea party movement.
Then there was a case of an IBEW official organizing thugs to throw eggs at Tea Party Express buses in Nevada.
“March 2010: Around 0:18 into this video showing the exploding shell and yolk that came inches from Andrew Breitbart’s face, a loud protestor taunts Breitbart, smiling and mocking his condemnation of the egg-throwing. “Glad you approve!” he sneers, “Thanks, man!”. That man is Edward Gering, VP of IBEW Local 357 in Las Vegas, annual salary, $137, 131.”
Then there was this case of violence at a tea party protest in Fort Lauderdale at the hands of union members last April
In June in North Carolina a tea party protest ended in violence with an attendee punched in the face.
“As we reported earlier this week, a peaceful Tea party protest in Greenville, N.C. ended badly this week. A union goon who is also a black liberation activist began pushing the protestors and when he pushed someone’s wife, the husband pushed back. The Tea party member, Nathan Tabor, was punched in the face by the thug.”
These are just a few example of violence against the tea party movement by unionized thugs. Yet, the mainstream media seems desperate to try to prove that it is in fact the tea party movement that is violent. This is despite fact there is no evidence whatsoever of a tea party member attacking anyone.
As we approach November and Democrat fortunes continue to wane, it is probable there will be more such victims. So, my fellow Mainers, when you have a drink this evening, how about raise one to the tea party victims of union violence.
