Sports Extra – Some gentlemen may have an internal code of not engaging in ‘kiss and tell.’ Unfortunately for men, they are hard-pressed finding single ladies with such a code.
WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1) offered some advice for fellow Brit Wayne Rooney amid the latter’s sex scandal and falling out with his team, Manchester United.

Wayne Rooney, one of Europe’s most popular soccer players, is a family man with a wife and son. Unfortunately for the 24-year old striker, two prostitutes, Helen Wood and Jennifer Thompson, recently disclosed their 10-minute hotel threesome with the Manchester player. (Yes, Helen and Jennifer are BFFs as well as ‘co-workers’.)
Compounding Rooney’s problems, the revelation has caused his performance in the field to suffer, and now wants out of Manchester United. He has been left out of the starting lineup for three consecutive games.

Ironically, Khan gave advice to Wayne Rooney after the boxing champ himself is alleged to have hooked up with the $1,900 per night Jennifer Thompson. [ Amir Khan linked to prostitute ] Helen and Jenny are both from Bolton, where Khan, often referred to as the “Pride of Bolton,” is from.
“Some people attract attention in the wrong way,” Khan told the Manchester Evening News. Wayne Rooney has attracted it in the wrong way. That’s why he’s getting criticism. With boxing it’s just a case of people not liking what you’re doing. With me – I started boxing when I was young and earned a lot of money. I had blue chip companies sponsoring me and people don’t like that. There was a lot of jealousy.”
“King Khan” continued: “People said I was finished, that I would never be the same and I wasn’t the champion they all thought I was. But I proved everyone wrong. It made me stronger. It took the pressure off me coming so early on in my career.”
The “Wood” Affair >
Best friends Helen Wood, 23, and Jennifer Thompson, 21, are proud young ladies who do not refer to themselves as hookers, but rather, as ‘escort girls.’ Well, okayyy . . .
In addition to escorting men into cozy hotel rooms, they are also escorting sums of cash to the bank – and not just from their sexcapades, but from interviews with British tabloids. Jenny Thompson and Helen Wood, in a tell-all interview with The Daily Star, say they enjoyed their threesome with the Manchester United striker. They insist it is not their fault.
The pair have become hate figures to the football faithful, who have seen their hero fall into the abyss of sports tragedy. [ Article: When a Hero falls . . . ] Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen, 24, has also been distraught.
The girls insist they were just doing their job. (The “order fulfillment” apparently took place at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel this past July.) Jenny, 21, says: “We were just doing a job and getting paid for it. The only reason the story came out is that a so-called friend of mine tipped off the papers. I had never intended to make it public but was left with no choice. Rooney has got to deal with the fallout of this – but so have we.”
The Bolton girls claim they are no longer working as prostitutes. (Just making money off interviews.)
Jenny continues: “A lot of people think you’re with a lot of guys but if you have rich clients, you don’t need to do that. Maybe it would be four or five a week. When I started, I was earning £2,000 a week. What other job would pay that sort of money?”
(B.S. alert: Ms. Thompson reportedly charges each customer $1,900 per “order.”)
Helen adds: “I was earning anything between £750 and £1,500 a week – it was very good money.”
(One to two thousand per week, another B.S. alert?)
Helen continues: “I’d like to write a book about my experience of escorting. So many things happened – the guy who wanted me to sit in a bath full of wallpaper paste, the guy who made me sit in a vegetable steamer, one who pretended I was his dead wife. You wouldn’t believe some of it.”
(Publishing a new product sounds like an interesting venture.)
Jenny says: “I don’t have any regrets – I think you learn from everything that happens to you. I don’t want to become a wannabe celeb but I want to get what I can out of it and go on and do my own thing, maybe open a beauty salon.”
(B.S. alert: You don’t want to be a celeb and interviewing with British papers is a great way to do that.)
She continues her little heart out: “My mum’s always said to me that people make mistakes. The best thing you can do is learn from them.”
And profit from them, too.
