Your life is filled with events. It seems like every month there are three or four times you need (want) to give a gift to someone. Birthdays, thank yous, congratulations on your new arrival, house warmings, we will miss you gifts. The list is never ending.
Plan ahead. Making gifts will save you money.
*Bake homemade breads, cookies, and freeze small packages of them for future use.
*Spend a day crafting cards. Have them on hand for quick gift giving.
*Give time. Make up gift certificates for babysitting time, weeding a garden time, mowing a lawn time. (I am sure you can think of things people do, that you can help them do.)
*Bring crockpot of soup or stew to a friend, to say “Thanks”.
*If you know how to knit, crochet plan ahead and make up hats and booties when you find out that someone is going to have a child. If you sew, you can make a bag, or simple baby clothing. If you buy a simple baby shirt, you can dress it up with fabric painting, to customize your gift.
*Need a parent gift? House cleaning, painting, or yard work that needs to be done is always an appreciated gift.
Gifts from the heart are the best!
