Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar offers some of Denver’s finest dining by providing comfortable elegance. To start, the appetizer selection is fantastic with interesting options such as their Chilled Seafood Tower (for two or more, and well worth the market value) or Lobster Tempura, as well as other fine starters such as French Onion Soup, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, and Sweet Chile Calamari. ($9.50 -15.50) While losing one’s self in appetizers, aperitifs, and flights may make for a great evening, missing out on their USDA Prime beef, aged up to 4 weeks, and meat selections would be a tragedy.
Main menu choices including Main or Petite Filet Mignon, New York Strip au poivre, or double thick New Zealand Lamb Chops, seared at 1600 degrees to lock in juicy flavor, provide just a teaser to the selection of meats to appease one’s appetite. Offerings of Tuna Mignon, Seared New Bedford Scallops, North Atlantic Lobster Tails and Alaskan King Crab Legs are more than enough to intrigue your desire to return much sooner than you may have originally anticipated. ($28 – $40, Market)
Side options provide fine compliments to tailor dinner to your specific appetite. Large enough to be shared, but flavorful enough to want to keep to one’s self, options including Sautéed or Creamed Sweet Corn or Spinach, Chipotle Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese, or the well known Flemming’s Potatoes, are just a few of the delicious extras. ($7 – $9) View the full menu here.
Waiters are noticeably engaging and swift in their service, providing superb knowledge and confidence in their abilities without hovering or impeding on the experience. Menu and wine knowledge is a staple of the provided service, with servers who are readily willing and able to provide pairing and choice recommendations for the evening.
For those simply choosing to enjoy Fleming’s Wine Bar offerings, the ‘5,6,7’ feature of 5 cocktails, 5 wines by the glass, and 5 appetizers all $6 each, until 7PM, is perfect for that after work detox or leisurely evening. Catching a show, opera, or art exhibit, then the Fall Prix Fixe Menu comprised of a 3-course dinner for $39.95 is a fine complement to begin the evening. Lastly, do not miss Fleming’s sponsored site for revival of your unfinished meal with their left over steak recipes for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
A separate private dining room is available providing specific menus and service which is comfortably tailored to the needs of guests for dinner of up to 60 attendees.
