To some, this may look like just a bunch of pretty bangles, but they’re not just that. These are luxe, Alex & Ani bangles. Carolyn Rafaelian, designer and creator of the fantastic Alex and Ani jewelry line, has a following of celebrity fans so long, I can’t list them all. A few fans include: Sandra Bullock, Carrie Underwood, Sir Paul McCartney, Kerry Washington, Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Jessica Simpson, and Vanessa Hudgens.
…and now ou can have them too! Get the same looks as these red carpet celebrities, and even better, you can make them your own, with the Alex and Ani Web Site’s newest online feature, a Create Your Own’ Bangle Bar. So luxe! So chic! So you!

Alex & Ani accessories are not inexpensive, but what’s great about this new, online bangle bar feature is that you can mind your budget by simply making only the number and type of bangles you want in a set. You can also collect them, as you have a little extra $$. Select your bracelet set from a variety of vintage beads and finishes for the bangles, and then if you wish, add some pretty charms. There are zodiacs, special interest charms, general charms, and initials. As you can see from the set in the photo above, I selected a crown for one bracelet (because I am a Countess, after all), and a vintage-y, periodot-colored dangle (called a “Crystal Channel Charm”) for another. I added a fancy, gold metal beaded bracelet that needs no additional adornment (there are colorful beaded versions, too). If you’re on a budget, however, you can still have this celebrity line’s accessories. Simply add less charms, or just wear a few, unadorned bangles in yellow gold, Russian silver or gold, or hematite. The simple design is decorative, as-is.
Each bangle has a patented, sliding mechanism instead of a clasp making each piece adjustable, for a customized fit, and each also sports a tiny, teardrop-shaped dangle with the Alex and Ani logo, identifying it as an authentic Alex and Ani product.
Figuring out what type of bangle and which charms to add, is the fun part. There is a simple, drag and drop interface with a color photograph (and cost) of each item. Each addition to the bangle is a la carte, so you can stay within your budget. If you don’t have a budget, you can add tons of charms and different semi-precious beads and other things to really make a statement.
Even one special bangle would make an unique and memorable gift. You could pick out something special for each member of your bridal party, or make a speical set for mom, or your BFF, based on her favorite colors and specific interests! VOTE! Leave a comment here telling me what charm you’d most like to wear on a bangle, and I’ll give send you a special code for 10% off your purchase on the Alex and Ani olnline bangle bar.
