Furry Friends Rescue
Clyde and Rocky’s guardian suddenly passed away. The bonded pair was taken in by one of the Bay Area shelters and then released Furry Friends Rescue. Clyde and Rocky, about 5 years old, were indoor cats and well cared for since they were kittens. Clyde is the braver of the two and adjusts to new environments sooner. Rocky is more timid and follows his buddy. Both are sweet gentle cats and would love a home together.
You can find out more about this bonded pair with information about fostering or adoption at:

Athena is a pretty 11-month-old altered female. She was in foster care while PHS/SPCA cared for her young kittens. Athena is a sweet, gentle young lady who LOVES to hang out with her people. Do you want a constant companion? Yes? Well, Athena is your gal! Athena must have been given “people food” in her former home, as she is a First Class Beggar! Don’t fall for her charming little mew, however, as she will eat her own food, which is best for her health. Athena has been a wonderful momma to her three little kittens, Albert, Gracie and Tootsie. Now that her mommy days are over, she would love to settle into a permanent home of her own. Athena is playful, running and chasing toys right along with her kittens. Athena loves a cuddly lap and lots of lovies and would really appreciate a soft cushion, looking out the window at whatever. She loved watching the resident cats in her foster home, so we think she would be a good companion for your kitty and you. Athena has excellent manners: she eats neatly; she always use her kitty box(es); she always washes after mealtime and after using the kitty box; she scratches on her scratching box.
SPECIAL NEEEDS Albert is a 3-month-old altered male. He is a HIGH ENERGY little guy who likes to play and explore new things. Albert loves to play “rough and tumble” with his litter mates, Gracie and Tootsie. In fact, his “tumble” is caused by a congenital condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, which will permanently affect his coordination, gait and his left eye (he may not see very well from his left eye). That doesn’t stop Albert – after a tumble, he gets right up and tries again! Due to Albert’s physical limitations, Albert should be a protected “indoor only” kitty. Also, his litterbox will have to be kept very clean, as he frequently falls over when he turns to cover his poos and pees. Yes, Albert may not be the most athletic fella, but what he lacks in physical attributes, he more than makes up for in personality. Albert’s manners are excellent – he doesn’t walk in the food dish; he always use his very clean kitty box(es); he always washes after mealtime and after using the kitty box; he scratches on his scratching box.

Sky, 8-year-old neutered male and Luna, 7-year-old spayed female, are quite bonded and want to be placed together in their new home. Neither of them is happy about shelter life, but given time MHS thinks they will come out of their shells. They will need a patient and loving guardian who is willing to give them some time and space to adjust to their new surroundings. Talk to them quietly and give them some gentle petting and grooming. MHS says that with a little patience and TLC, they will soon show you their true purrsonalities — sweet and gentle cats who will become your devoted companions. Best in an adult only home.
The Marin Humane Society is located at 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd, Novato. The Adoption Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Visit www.marinhumanesociety.org or call 415-883-4621 for more information.

Clyde is an extremely rare, MALE Torti-tabby kitten. Nearly every cat born with three color markings is a female. Very rarely will a calico or torti kitty be male, and Clyde is one of those very special cats. He is 2-months-old, and could live with other cats and dogs, as well as respectful older children
