Hot Dog and Holy Cow! Harry Caray’s Tavern on Navy Pier will be pet friendly for a Doggy A-Fair on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 5-7:00 p.m. The popular tavern is celebrating National Adopt a Dog Month with an event that benefits Lake Shore Animal Shelter and is fun for pets and pet lovers. Blackhawks legend Bobby Hull will be on hand for the celebration. Harry Caray’s Tavern is on Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois, according to a press release from Harry Caray’s.
Bring your pup or pick one up at Harry Caray’s Tavern Navy Pier’s Doggy A-Fair on Thursday, October 14th from 5p–7p. October is National Adopt a Dog Month and Lake Shore Animal Shelter will be on hand with the Adoption Trolley full of loveable dogs in need of a home. If you are thinking about adopting a four legged friend, this is a great opportunity meet potential canine companions.
Pets are welcome, so if you already have a canine companion bring them along for a bevy of dog-friendly activities and gifts from vendors across Chicagoland. Chicago Blackhawks legend, fellow dog lover and Harry Caray’s Navy Pier partner Bobby Hull will be on hand to pose with hockey loving canine companions.
Climb Aboard the Adoption Trolley
The Lake Shore Animal Shelter will be at Navy Pier with the Adoption Trolley, courtesy of Chicago Trolley and Double Decker Co. The Adoption Trolley will be parked next to Harry Carey’s Representatives from Lake Shore Animal Shelter, Chicago’s oldest no-kill animal shelter, will begin the adoption process for anyone who finds a pooch they’d like to adopt.
Harry’s lakefront Doggy A-Fair will feature some Chicago’s premier doggie stores, spas and specialists giving out tips and treats. WLS AM radio personality and pet psychologist Steve Dale will present behavioral tips, Dog-A-Holics will offer special training tricks, Kriser’s offers special doggie swag, Zulo will feature health and wellness tips and The Barking Lot can spruce up your pup. Colossal 8oz Vienna All Beef Chicago Style Hot Dogs will also be available for $9.95 with 100% of the proceeds donated directly to Lake Shore Animal Shelter and the American Humane Association.
Fido on Facebook Each dog photo taken with the Holy Cow! will be uploaded to Harry Caray’s Tavern’s Facebook page (facebook.com/harrystavern). The photo with the most likes by Friday, October 22th will win a $50 gift certificate for Harry Caray’s Tavern, Navy Pier. You must have 10 likes to be eligible for the prize. Certain restrictions apply.
