There’s an app for that, and this is absolutely the case for Delta Air Lines customers who utilize the iPhone, iPad or iPad Touch from Apple. On September 1, Delta launched its very own iPhone app, allowing travelers to check-in for flights, review flight status and schedules, place a parking reminder for themselves, review their SkyMiles account information and in select cities, use eBoarding passes. In the not too distant future travelers will have the capability to make Delta reservations with the app, as well as select seats and track their Medallion status. Free wi-fi access will also be available with a future app release.
Delta also has announced that apps for Blackberry and Droid will be launched later this year via its ‘Under the Wing” blog, Twitter, Facebook and traditional email.
