According to Variety, Olivia Thirlby is set to join Karl Urban in DNA Film’s adaptation of Judge Dredd. During Comic-Con it was revealed that Karl Urban was signed on to play the titular role while Thirlby will play a telepathic rookie.
Judge Dredd will be directed by Pete Travis (Vantage Point and Omagh) with the script penned by Alex Garland (Sunshine and 28 Days Later). Travis has gone on to say that this film will be a hard R that is gritty and realistic and that Dredd’s helmet won’t ever come off.
Deadline is reporting that Jamie Bell (King Kong) has signed on to join Summit Entertainment’s Man on a Ledge and Variety is reporting that Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker) is in negotiations to join the cast as well.
The two will join Sam Worthington (Avatar and Clash of the Titans).
Asger Leth will direct, making it is feature directorial debut. Pablo Enjves wrote the originial script and Eric and Jon Hoeber signed on to do som rewrites.
It is rumored that Amy Adams is in talks to join the cast as well.

An ex-cop-turned-con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The NYPD dispatches a female police psychologist to talk him down but, unbeknownst to the cops on the scene, the suicide attempt is a cover for a massive diamond heist.
Heat Vision reports that Liam Neeson will join Joe Carnahan’s (The A-Team) The Grey which has been described as a existenialist drama. It follows the story of pipeline workers flying back home when their 737 goes down and they try to survive against a pack of wolves hunting them down. Neeson has replaced Bradley Cooper who would of starred as the lead role.
